The Anchor Institute (AnIn), a community action think tank, brought to the table as many urban development players as possible. AnIn grew out of a local publication, the Midland’s Anchor, but we wanted to move away from nautical imagery and toward key goal of the organization: communication.

The shortened name and logo design developed from a plan for growth. The organization hoped to expand its reach out of the Midlands and eventually de-emphasize their connection to the Anchor publication.
